I’ve been lucky enough to be invited to tag along with my good friend Capt. Greg DeVault to the SHOT show in Orlando on Friday. It’s the biggest trade show for hunting and firearm companies in the country. I love hunting as well as guns so I’m excited about going. I’ll let you know how it was when I get back.

This should be a fine experiment. Now you guys who’ve been fishing with me will be able to keep tabs on what I’m up to and those looking to go fishing will get an idea of who they’ll be spending time with on the boat.

We’re in the middle of the best trout bite we’ve had in 4 years and the weather has turned cold and nasty. It really puts a damper on a steller start to the year for me. I called all my clients for this weekend and had them reschedule. I need the money but I would rather have a good reputation. I’m not going to take people fishing when I know the fishing will be bad. I believe the Good Book when it says that “it is better to have a good name than great riches”. I’m sorry for those of you that have to postpone your charter but trust me, you will enjoy fishing when the bite is on much better than freezing to death and wondering where the fish are.
